Coulter Archive and Library for Historical and Genealogical Research

The Coulter Archive is open every Tuesday and Friday from 11:00am to 4:00pm. Drop ins are always welcome. However, as staffing may be limited, it is best to call the History Center for an appointment prior to arrival to be certain an archivist is available.

For those able to do their own research a $5.00 donation is suggested.

For those unable to do their own research, we will spend two hours free of charge to determine what sources may exist and complete simple searches when the following are supplied:

  1. Name, address & email.
  2. A concise statement (50 words or less) of your immediate requirement and ultimate objective.
  3. If your research is genealogical, you will be asked to supply a pedigree chart from your starting point to your Brown County relative to aid in identifying the correct lineage you are seeking.
